Feel Spectres are a Indie pop power trio from Oklahoma City Oklahoma featuring Richard York on Bass/vocals, Allen Cory on drums, and Matt Goad on guitar/vocals. After nearly a decade of existence, the Feel Spectres have continued to evolve through various lineup with Goad and Cory at the core. This time around, they are joined by Richard York on bass and harmonies. For OKC music history buffs, the reunion of Goad and York is notable. In the 90s, they co-helmed the power-pop group American Boyfriends, culminating in their award-winning 2001 album “What Love Can Be…”
Now a three-piece, the Spectres newfound stripped-down post-punk pop approach compresses their myriad influences — from the Beatles to SST Records to every melodic gem that’s come since — into the purest of diamonds.
Poised to usher in a new era, the trio’s explosive new album, “Little Boy with the Raygun” proves the third time’s the charm. It’s a lethal combination of the bright Goad/York melodies and harmonies of yore and the dark, gothic power that has become the Feel Spectres legacy.
